Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Friday parried
questions on Narendra Modi’s comments that he had felt “pain” and
“anguish” over the 2002 Gujarat riots.”The issue here is about
building a framework against corruption. Let’s not
confuse the issue here,” he said at a press conference when asked to comment on Modi’s
statement.
Coming out perhaps for the first time, the Gujarat Chief Minister, who
has been often attacked over the 2002 post-Godhra riots today said he
felt “liberated and at peace” in the wake of
the clean chit given by a local court to him.In a blog, Modi said that came out with a long statement in a blog saying he was “shaken to the core”.
