The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) goverment in Delhi will
seek a vote of confidence on January 2 on the floor of Delhi assembly.
The session of the assembly will begin on January 1 and the election of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker has been fixed for January 3, a Delhi government press release said after a meeting of the cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made it clear that officials wedded to honesty had nothing to worry from his new government.
"I told the officers that there will be no witch hunting," Kejriwal said, after learning that there was a sense of unease in the bureaucracy in view of his image as an uncompromising anti-corruption crusader."
